Smart Battery Cat-5 Connections Weather Resistant?
I have a pair Renogy Smart Batteries installed in my RV. They are in the engine compartment. I am concerned that the CAT-5 connection to my Battery Monitor might be compromised by water intrusion into the CAT-5 connections if I get into rain. Is this something I should worry about? If so what is the best method of creating a water resistant connection. Renogy should make a replacement for the cover that comes installed on the battery that would allow the cables to be connected.
Thanks in advance,
